The Dyneema netting is our top netting material that we install. Dyneema nets are fabricated from low-drag, lightweight, high-strength Dyneema fibre allowing us to innovate and design with wider spans and taller structures. Our support poles stretch up to 200 feet (61m) high. We offer the widest spans between poles in the industry – for a clean look and lower install costs.
Netex premium netting is made from the world’s strongest fibre, Dyneema®. We use it to create the most durable, UV-stable, moisture-resistant, lightweight netting in the world. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (HMPE) is up to 15x stronger than steel by weight. Dyneema is used to make ropes for mooring deepwater oil rigs, bulletproof vests, and medical thread.
To ensure quality, we only use yarn from DSM, the original developer of Dyneema – DSM yarn offers an abrasion life four times longer than generic HMPE. And for overall integrity, we use Dyneema yarn throughout our premium netting: 12-strand for the perimeter ropes, and a braided twine to attach the rope border to the netting. The yarns for our net projects are solution-dyed to prevent fading, and we also add sport-specific treatments, like urethane bonding, to make our baseball netting more abrasion-resistant. All of our netting has a 15-year limited warranty against UV degradation and a 2-year workmanship warranty.
The Polyester netting is our generic netting material that we install. Polyester netting is heavier and has more visibility when compared to Dyneema netting. It provides a good quality net that performs at high standards just with a heavier and more visible material.
All of the Dyneema netting used for installation has a 10-year warranty against UV degradation and a 2-year workmanship warranty. All Polyester netting used for installation has a 10-year warranty. Warranty is voided on the new nets due to failures of the poles due to weather conditions such as an Act of God like a Snow Squall or flooding. If the poles snap for whatever reason and the nets are ripped down, this is not warranty work. Any physical damage incurred to the nets is not warrantied work (i.e., weather damage, nets that are cut by mowers or people, people pushing golf balls through them, animals tearing at them etc.).
Regular maintenance is suggested to keep minor issues from developing into major ones. All Netex nets are hand-tied and customized for optimum fit, as appropriate tension is taken into consideration when hand-tying each net. Wind-tunnel testing to ensure wind load numbers are correct is also performed on the materials used to customize the nets.
